Looks like next week any future AT&T subscribers will only have two choices when it comes down to selecting a messaging packaging. $20 for Individual Plans and $30 for Family Plans. This is said to all be going down August 21st.
Unlimited I guess you could say is really the only feasible option to have that peace of mind without ever worrying about tearing open that AT&T bill every month. What about the older generation that doesn't send vast amounts of messages a month and fits into the 250-1,000 messaging category?
Further rumor has been later confirmed by a AT&T spokesperson to Engadget about the text messaging changes; Quote: We regularly evaluate our offers and are making some adjustments to our messaging lineup. Starting August 21, we're streamlining our text messaging plans for new customers and will offer an unlimited plan for individuals for $20 per month and an unlimited plan for families of up to five lines for $30 per month. The vast majority of our messaging customers prefer unlimited plans and with text messaging growth stronger than ever, that number continues to climb among new customers. Existing customers don't have to change any messaging plan they have today, even when changing handsets. | |
